This panel is made out of spruce plywood. it has been sealed with Pva and painted and sprayed with a non toxi fire retardant. so it’s basically made to last for a very long time!
On the back it has two steal heavy duty D rings to hang up on the wall easily.
The panel comes in two half’s, so it’s easier to move. they just sit on top of each other.
I now have the capacity to make these panels out of soft metals such as copper, brass, aluminium or gold.
And I can also make them from recycled cardboard & plastic and concrete.
please feel free to contact me for more information on different materials. Different materials will scatter different frequencies, cardboard will absorb more sound so works well in the lower to mid range, and wood scatters mid to higher frequencies.
Sound diffusers work great in recording studios, home theatres or any room that has a echoes.
If you would like it in a certain colour please feel free to contact me.
This pattern can be made to any size.
If we introduce a diffuser onto a flat surface and we generate sound waves, what happens? Most people would say that we are scattering the sound in other directions rather than in the directly reflected path. This is true, but is not the whole story. A good diffuser not only changes the reflections to propagate in different directions, but does so EVENLY in all directions. Just splitting a wave to go into 2 directions doesn’t do enough. We’ve effectively changed the concentration of the waves in a certain portion of the room. We’ve also effectively taken the intensity of the initial wave front and split it among the various reflections so that each one is not only coming from a different direction, but each is also weaker and harder to distinguish but we’ve lost no energy in the process.
